The tank holds about 4 gallons, we think. Much bigger than the Savage and the speedo isn't in the tank. I'll know more when I have time to research it more.
We think we might just clean up the header pipe and spray paint it black to match the frame.
The bike looks good and for the amount of touring I would be doing now, the price is great. We don't go all that far now because of work and the kids. There always seems to be something going on... birthday, graduation, wedding, grandchild, etc. We rode more this year than last and hope to continue to add more each year. I'll still use the Savage more. I can justify having two bikes with that price. $5,000 for a V-Star and not wanting to get rid of the Savage is a little tough to swallow.
My SO is always finding good deals on bikes. He found a Ninja 250 for $800 for my daughter and book was $1700. The girl was getting married and wanted the money for her honeymoon...bike week. Another time and she would never have dropped her price.
